Too much license has been taken. Admiral Picard is now an old weak willed wuss. Poppy-cock. One character calling him “JL” instead of Jean-Luc is insulting. I don’t believe he would have kept any kind of relationship with someone so disrespectful. Another attempt to take a great show and retool it to appease someone’s ego. Very disappointed. Hopefully someone will put it out of its misery. Should have left this series alone instead of turning it into a soap opera. Patrick Stewart is brilliant as usual. If asked why he would denigrate the memory of such a spectacular show, I’d bet his response would be similar to Eddie Murphy’s response to why he made Golden Child: “If you saw how much money they offered me, you would’ve done it too.”
