The girlies will really love this movie. Best movie I've seen in awhile. I liked that women held all the important roles in Barbieland society. I liked the part at the end of the movie where the narrator says that if the Kens try hard enough, one day they'll have the same rights as real life women.
To be real though, this movie is thought-provoking. It's really about being human and the pressures women face to have to be extraordinary. America's monologue was incredibly nuanced and powerful. To be honest, I've never really heard the conflicts women face laid out so clearly. Maybe men will understand this movie, maybe they won't.
