Well written script Wonderful direction Heart touching songs(This was Sachin Dev Burman's last film as a composer) But The negative point of this film is Mr.Bachchan Became stagnant or melodramatic in some scenes while trying to play a more serious and intense alcoholic and depressed character that the film wanted But even after this The whole film was carried forward by Jaya Bhaduri alone on her shoulders....And it was needed also as this was mainly a woman-centric film Jaya ji was outstanding Wonderful support was provided by Ashok kumar My verdict Above Average One time watch May be you watch it a second time for The songs and Jaya Bhaduri Rating 6.8/10
