This is probably Bette Davis's best movie, though it should've tied for best picture with ''Sunset Boulevard". Rashomon should've too, but I don't think the Academy Awards voters didn't even watch it.

Some people say that the book is always better than the movie, and sometimes it is. But, the book and the movie of The Magnificent Ambersons are both some of the greatest works of all time. It is a shame that Orson Welles had to cut so much from this movie.

You will enjoy this movie unless you can't read the English subtitles.

This is one of the best movies ever made and should be more popular.
