False Grit

Absolute dumpster fire of a show. The saddest part about it, is that it has incredible special effects, compelling and dramatic characters, like Captain Georgiou and Captain Lorca, and even interesting plot devices... All completely ruined by Michael Burnham. The show is 100% about her and how great she is and perfect for every situation. She makes horrible, awful, childish mistakes - and instead of learning or growing from them, you know, like a normal, sane Star Trek - ultimately the universe proves she was right all along, all her seniors bow down to her and make her captain for no reason, and classic characters come back to tell her how great she is and to never learn and grow from anything. No offense to the actress. She plays it as well as she can. It's just a god-awful fantasy written for a 3rd-grade maturity level pushing the political agenda of people who have never had to work for a living.
