“Poor things” is a wonderful tale of sexual perversion, pedophilia and showing women as more desirable when they don’t think. “Wonderful” of course if you are into those kinds of things. In short, it’s a movie about a guy who played God and wanted to create his own human, which he replaced as soon as she developed her own will and opinion. Her “sexual awakening” was presented in very primitive and poor manner, showcasing women are only good for one thing and only desirable when they don’t have their own opinion. I never watched a movie that I had to skip the scenes of so much and left me tasteless and frustrated with the messaging. The only positive thing was beautiful pictures and costume creation. Emma Stone was average due to the fact the movie didn’t require much emotion other that expression of an orgasm on your face. A big NO for me.
