I didn’t expect a 1:1 remake of the anime and went into it with tempered expectations, but really enjoyed the series. I don’t know what these people are smoking who say it’s terrible. I don’t see it at all. I really like it. Basically everything about it. Cinematography, set design, acting performance, slight rework of the story to make it more television appropriate. It’s kind of like The Expanse. Yeah there were a few changes. But it works. And it works well.
