I actually want to give this sequel a 3.5 but there’s no half ratings here. I believed that the sequel did what sequels are supposed to do, and that is continuing the storyline. The first movie was funny in its own right and it made me want to laugh more once I heard that there was a sequel. Now, I’m not going to go Hollywood here and try to vie for a Bosses 3, because it’s unnecessary and excessive but this was a good sequel, nevertheless.
I’m a fan of Jason Bateman and Jason Sudeikis and I’m coming around to Charlie Day’s sense of humor in his movies as especially this one. Yes, he can be a bit grating in the ear with his voice and manner but that’s his character so let it be! But all three characters compliment one another in these movies so it balances out throughout the scenes. Jason B is so deadpan and analytical in his humor that you need Jason S. and Charlie Day to bring color and life and maybe some zaniness to each scene.
