I really want to give this movie a 3.5 but there isn’t a scale for it here. I love a good silly comedy such as this because it’s also a feel good movie in that it makes you take life in all its seriousness, a little lighter. These two Ohio-based friends are trying to make the best of their lives in California only to be met with internal and external challenges and their stories are relatable on many levels. The chemistry between these two friends are very strong and believable making the story more interesting. It’s a fun ride filled with drug humor, sexual innuendos, action an all around great buddy movie worth the watch!

As a mega fan of Quentin’s movies I highly recommend this voyage throughout his cinematic career! It consists of a brief breakdown of each of his films and the actors take on his style of directing and how they perceived the characterization in each of his films whether they played them or not. This is both nostalgic and tragic for me because I’ll miss his style of writing and directing when he makes his last movie but I’ll always cherish what he’s left us all, unforgettable movies with amazing characters and great storylines.

I actually want to give this sequel a 3.5 but there’s no half ratings here. I believed that the sequel did what sequels are supposed to do, and that is continuing the storyline. The first movie was funny in its own right and it made me want to laugh more once I heard that there was a sequel. Now, I’m not going to go Hollywood here and try to vie for a Bosses 3, because it’s unnecessary and excessive but this was a good sequel, nevertheless. I’m a fan of Jason Bateman and Jason Sudeikis and I’m coming around to Charlie Day’s sense of humor in his movies as especially this one. Yes, he can be a bit grating in the ear with his voice and manner but that’s his character so let it be! But all three characters compliment one another in these movies so it balances out throughout the scenes. Jason B is so deadpan and analytical in his humor that you need Jason S. and Charlie Day to bring color and life and maybe some zaniness to each scene.
