I had to stop watching when someone was saying it takes one quart of water to make one pound of cashew cheese. But if you look up how much water is required to grow cashews, it takes some 6450 litres of water to make 1 pound of cashews. I personally like eating a lot of vegetarian foods and whole grains, but I can't stand when vegan enthusiastics make up fake statistics to boost support for what they are doing. Grains and beans are far less resource intensive than nuts. Pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds are much better choices than nuts since water requirements are many times lower. Almond milk water requirements are not much different from dairy milk when you look at water requirements vs. calories. We can't have real discussions without real information.
