Where has this little gem been hiding?!!!! Such a lovely, light-hearted romcom. Just finished the brilliant but very intense Red Sleeve so i needed a funny, relaxed ‘easy’ watch Kdrama. This was PERFECT so sweet, a few misunderstandings but quickly resolved in one episode. No dragging them out. The chemistry between the ML and FL was off the wall. I actually really loved the FL character she had such a positive outlook on life and never took things too personally. One I will no doubt re-watch 😊 Just listening to the soundtrack to this film especially ‘I want you bad’. So uplifting just what I need while I struggle with excell!

If you are new to K drama’s this is a perfect show to start with 😊 I have watched many K and C dramas over this past year. Most were great in their own way but I have never been inspired enough to leave a review. Until now so far, I have left three reviews: 1) Till the End of the Moon 2) the Red Sleeve and now this drama. Where to begin…flawless, every episode engaging, acting was so good and very relatable. I’m sure many of us have felt like this at some point in our married life. I liked the comedy aspects of the ML and the FL beautiful relationship with her mother. The true message I took from this is communication is the key for a happy healthy long-term relationship.

Just finished watching this wonderful drama. I have never watched a show which starred Lee Jun Ho, to say he is an amazing actor is an understatement! His portrayal from Crown Prince to King was so moving and powerful. I don’t know if it’s just me but he has such a lovely masculine voice. Lee Se-Young, as a court lady was beautiful and so inspiring. Her scenes with Lee and her friends were just beautiful. I love the way she had such a strong mind and protected everyone around her. The chemistry between the main leads was so intense. They both cared so much for their roles in society, country, subjects, and each other. All the supporting casts were fantastic. Even the ‘villains’ were hard to ‘hate’ especially when you discover the reasons behind their actions. The supporting actor Kang Tae-ho made me laugh. Although his role was not huge. He was so loyal and some scenes with him and the King really made me belly laugh. Especially when the King asked him how to make a woman fall in love with him. 😊 I am really looking forward to watching Lee Jun Ho in King the Land! Fingers crossed its aired on a streaming service in the UK!

I am a HUGE K drama fan and recently I ventured into C dramas. I am so glad I did!! Being of Indian origin I am used to watching these types of dramas. Bollywood films often follow a similar pattern. Although I have thoroughly enjoyed hundreds of K, Indian and C dramas ( I have watched: love between the fairy and the devil, sweet love, lost romance, a Korean odyssey, Mr Queen and currently watching Immortal Samsara and Love and Redemption). I have never been inspired enough to leave a review until now. I have just finished this and all I can say is that this show was absolutely GRIPPING!! I was totally submerged for a few weeks. The acting from the main leads and supporting cast is on point. I don’t want to give any spoilers; the story is unique. The romance factor was not cringey just beautifully written and executed to perfection. How each of the characters (especially Luo Linx and Bai Lu) developed throughout the series was incredible. All the costumes were beautiful, and I have added the soundtrack to my C Drama playlist on Spotify. I read some reviews that have mentioned that this did not quite follow the original novel (I can’t find the English version, so I am unable to comment). A few have mentioned the blood spitting, yes perhaps this was a little OTT but personally it didn’t spoil my enjoyment at all. It’s just a shame this is not available on Netflix or Amazon prime in the UK. I watched it on the viki app.
