Wow. So unbelievably bad. Read the book and found it to be pretty good so was looking forward to seeing the series. First of all, it was very different from the book - can’t understand why it was changed so much! The characters were unlikeable, acting was abysmal (with the possible exception of Dakota Fanning), and so many actions of the characters made no sense (Amelia having sex in the kitchen with Benji when he was embarrassingly drunk for example). It seemed to flip back and forth between being campy and just a regular soap opera. And I’m guessing it would be hard to follow if you hadn’t read the book and were unfamiliar with some of the characters. And what happened to the relationship between Amelia and Shooter? Very underdeveloped and there was no chemistry between the actors. Huge disappointment all around.
