The 10th and final installment of the Fast Saga (Part 1/3). What do you say about a series that changed the car scene completely? The first several movies are great and you can re-watch them randomly from time to time. But the further in we get the less its about the cars and what made the series great. The last several movies were spy movies and we get this one on the basic circumstance that Jason Momoa's character survives the safe from five movies ago, you remember right? the one that came out 12 years ago. The movie struggles to find its roots again attempting to please everyone having a street race where the bad guy cheats because Dom has to lose after all this time, making him choose who lives and dies out of the family, and several people die but the fan favorites we love have no role in the movie. Jason Statham is in it for what feels like 5 minutes which is about as much screen time as everyone else not directly related to dom. Then we set up the whole movie for finally some real stakes and boom part 1/3. This movie did horrible in almost every place except China? like it makes up most of what was made having 1/6th of the profits just from that market costing $340 million to make and making $698 million 79% of which being international. It's crazy everywhere gave horrible reviews and then on google seeing so many 5 star reviews, I've not interacted with anyone who's said good things about the movie so why is it so highly rated?

Tyler is back except this time he must save his Ex wife's family from... a Russian warlord she's married to. The movie has a ton of great scenes and a few memorable fights. However the characters were annoying. It immediately takes off with the uncle wanting to hunt down the sister and her family for the death of his brother. Tyler puts on a show throughout the whole world with great fights and unique weapons and engagements. It fails to capture what made the first one good. You don't feel bad for anyone and you're not hyped when the bad guy fights Tyler. Really you sit through it and keep waiting and hoping for some crazy thing to happen but its just continuous death of side characters and people we don't know or care about. It tries hard to be John Wick and have grand fights but misses the simplicity and stakes of the first one. I'll give them props for having enough story for a second one but its a miss.

I haven't seen a transformers movie since the 2011 one. After not seeing them and coming back on this one it really was a nice refresh. Sure some of the dialogue is bad and has its cheesy moments but it gets you to feel for the new character and his family. The actor who played Optimus Prime gives us one final great run and does an amazing job giving us the true hero the autobots look up to. In classic Michael Bay fashion we get massive explosions and have some amazing set pieces. The movie makes me want to go back and see the ones I've missed.

Well we're back again for another installment of an amazing series with so many good memories and iconic scenes. The dial of destiny lives up to the name but ultimately falls flat. Maybe its just been so long since I've seen the last ones I only remember the good parts and am forgetting the flaws, however this one really misses. Its got some great moments and amazing set pieces but it jumps from one place to the next rather quickly and leaving much to be desired. The story in itself is a paradox and an infinite time loop with the ending not really having any true repercussions even with the magnitude of what happened. The only really redeeming quality of the end is the happiness you see with Indy after being essentially miserable for the entirety of the other movies. Harrison is getting old and he really puts on a show for one final adventure, but the adventure doesn't seem to matter.
