Leaves a lot to the imagination & to ponder. It didn't fulfill its potential though. Good cast.

I was a skeptic and was not planning to see this after seeing a preview a few months ago but then I listened to an interview with Greta Gerwig about the film and realized I had some misconceptions regarding the film. I recall too when my kids were little one of them receiving a Barbie Movie for a present and it sat around for a while because I thought it would be stupid but when we finally watched it I loved the strong female characters. We went on to watch all the Barbie Movies. I was blown away by the film and it made me both laugh and cry. I loved how Barbie changed as she experienced human emotions and learned that the real world was not like Barbie Land. Ryan Gosling was perfect as Ken and his character also developed depth as it progressed. The dance scenes were fun and I found the contradictions I left the movie happy!!!
