For the love of all things holy, when o' when has it become the film making style to have absolutely no plot? Just no plot. Maybe there was a plot in Asteroid City but it was buried under tons of dialogue which really didn't advance any said plot. No real character development, no sense of story. The kitschy sets were fun. I have seen Moonrise Kingdom and really enjoyed it. I don't mind a quirky movie. Not at all. But this movie had too much quirk and not enough sense. Save your money. Save yourself. Just pass.
