This is an amazing movie that everyone (whether you share any of the experiences depicted in this movie or not) should see. For those that have not shared any of the experiences of the Black couple in the movie, it gives you an insight into their reality. Realities that take place daily in the lives of African-Americans. And for those that have shared any of their experiences, (like me a proud Black man) it gives us a sense of peace knowing that we are not alone and at least one more step has been made along the journey to some kind of racial equality in this country. Along with that peace of mind, it gives us a sense of courage to not allow racist, hateful people to stop the pursuit and achievement of our goals. The Bible says to “love your neighbor, as yourself.” That means those that hate their neighbors are doing so because they never truly loved themselves. You cannot give to others what you have never received first for yourself. My prayer is that this movie opens closed hearts and selectively blind eyes to the sad realities that happen everyday. And I pray it encourages those that experience these sad realities to keep pressing toward the mark! Knowing that if God brought you to this life, He will take you through this life. And NO ONE (especially those that hate their own lives) can do anything to stop you. God Bless.
