Read this as a child and still love the story today, it is a wholesome story for the kids who love to read. The style of writing and plot reminded me a lot of 'The invention of Hugo Cabret'. It is an underrated book that should be getting more publicity. It's about an orphan fox who meets a talkative bird while they live in an awful orphanage place, they then run away together and split off to follow their dreams, and the readers follow around the fox with one ear to see all the situations he gets himself in.
