Absolutely horrible - predictable - poor characters - poor script - pathetic attempt to style this after a Scorsese movie, with grit, city burn out, struggling to survive in the city.... Penn's character (and acting) was ...not good

Movie was horrible - the beginning was totally uncomprehend able. It was really hard to follow and just not well acted. There was nothing to pull you in and the main underlying story mad absolutely no sense. Once again marketing wins and we lose. This is by far NOT a must see movie ..no acting is "oscar worthy" and the story is not "the most compelling"
