I have just read this book again for the 3rd time. I first read it when I was a bookseller and it was one of my favourite and most highly recommended books for anyone to read. It is hard to believe, reading it again, that it was Kate Atkinson's first novel, the sharp wit and story telling is so assured. It will stay in my bookcase forever just in case I feel like reading it again!
