While not the trainwreck critics have described, the film is, at most, merely average. It shines brightest in its technical aspects: the soundtrack is a true standout, and the visuals are stunning. Unfortunately, this brilliance couldn't overcome the weaknesses of the story, which felt underdeveloped, and a few questionable casting decisions. A major surprise, however, was Jared Leto's performance as Ares; I thought it would be a disaster, but he delivered a genuinely compelling performance. Strong supporting work also came from Evan Peters, Jeff Bridges, and the memorable, albeit short-lived, appearance by Cameron Monaghan. 3/5 Stars.
