I found it slow, heavy going. Couldn't really work out the plot and not many Scottish accents. Gill had no personality, too much use of the c word and no real conclusion, left hanging at the end, ready for another seriies? Saw more of Queensferry and Fife than Edinburgh. Too much family. If I didn't know Rebus was in the police I wouldn't have known from this series. I did watch with an open mind. I'm a big fan of John Hannah and Ken Stott, I knew this would be a different take on the books but still disappointed.
