Raven Queen

SAW X is a must-see horror movie for fans of the franchise or people who are just starting to get into gruesome horror. As a lasting fan of the franchise, SAW X is a great reminder of what the franchise used to be. To me the franchise fell off after SAW 4 and hasn’t been the same but SAW X went back to the roots of the franchise and delivered a movie the fans can appreciate and be proud of. This movie was really well done when it came to the acting. You can tell as a watcher that a lot of love for the movie and the franchise as a whole went into making this movie. Tobin Bell (John Kramer) gives a wonderful performance as we see a side to Jigsaw that was only ever briefly talked about in previous films. We see another heartbreak of his past that makes the viewers agree with his methods and ways. Shawnee Smith as Amanda again was a great add to the movie as she is arguably one of the best characters in the SAW franchise. So having a fan favorite in the movie makes it 10x better. What Kevin Greutert, the director, was able to do with this movie is outstanding. The story is easy to follow and understand. The setting of the movie was confusing at first as the viewer may wonder what is so important about it but that is solved very fast and in an exciting way. There were still the classic SAW movie twists. There was TONS of blood with killer traps and excellent deaths. These traps are easily some of my favorites when it comes to the franchise. I can see fans getting mad at one trap, but it is just too good of a trap to stay mad at. You can really tell Kevin cares about the movie and wanted to make the fans happy. This movie was nice and refreshing to watch. I would even have a full argument with someone that this movie was a better horror movie comeback than Halloween 2018. SAW X is gruesome, gory, squeamish and fantastical. It is a great add to the story of the SAW franchise and a must-see movie if you liked the other SAW movies. If you are a new fan of horror, I would recommend you watch SAW and SAW X. Watching this movie will make you appreciate life.
