After Life deserves an Oscar... up there with the best! Tackling a difficult subject head-on with incisive wit, touching, hilarious, dad, adult, complex, but the bottom line is brilliant humour. Certainly up there with Fleabag, Mum, Home, Catastrophe and Inside No.9. Normally, I find Gervais humour awkward and uncomfortable, if top class. But this is brilliant, plain and simple. Wonderful.
