Simbhu's latest film should be seen in a different context altogether. i.e. From STR's career in Tamil industry, and his new path
A hero caters only to urban youth in most of his films, came again to don a village role, thus reaching out to the family audience of Tamilnadu is a sign of maturity.
An extremely talented actor who became a spoiled brat in Tamil movie industry, thus effectively dooming his own career in past decade, burnt some 20 kgs of weight to bring him back to his own version of 2000's is really a resurrection. Yes, this is a return of actor STR.
As far as the movie is concerned, it's run out of the mill village movie that we have seen numerous times in last two decades. It's very familiar, yet you can find it watchable because the well etched characters like Bharatiraja, STR's Eswaran and the family bonding.
Unlike the trailer of the movie, Simbhu excercised restraints wherever it's required throughout the movie. Even though, the movie is familiar outing of village drama, it's quite refreshing at most of the parts.
Go for it Simbhu, Director Susienthren's bankable story of village family drama.
