My teacher assigned us this book, and it is garbage. I have read many books but none as painful or boring as this one. The book has many flaws and scenarios that don’t make sense. For example, if you were swimming with four of your siblings, and find a dead body, what wound be your first reaction? I hope you wouldn’t dream of taking it back to his family, and traveling with it for miles and miles just for an excuse to see your grandma? The book talks about how responsible Odilia and Juanita is, but this proves to me that they are in fact, retarded. And Odilia could’ve prevented all this by interrupting her mother at the diner to tell her instead of it being a pointless interaction. I can’t wait until we are finished with this book because after this, we are reading about a hitler cat and mouse jews. I honestly think that book may be better than this one.
