Does anyone remember the various novellas that Diana published whilst we were patiently waiting for Bees? I kept asking myself why I needed a detailed story about Marsali’s sister becoming a nun or the return of the Comte De St Germain? Interesting but let’s get on with the main theme. I too am totally disappointed in Bees. My opinion… Diana had too many other deals on her plate and lost interest in her main novel. The comments I’ve read reflect my thoughts exactly. Publishing books is a business after all. I suspect to see more novellas condensed into shorter books which frankly are close to the same price as the mail novels whilst the main novels go by the wayside. We’re all anticipating the final book, but I expect the final demise of Claire and Jamie to be an afterthought, as in someone just happens to finds them dead in the woods whilst they’re wandering around looking for a secret door or something. Marginalizing the main characters and concentrating the details in books about other new characters is a cop out in my opinion
