Just like the cover says, this book captivates the reader through a story of friendship, love, loss and war. As someone who studied history at university many moons ago, this book was a brilliant way of rekindling my love for history through a fictional depiction of life as an RAF pilot.
With moments that make you smile, moments that made you chuckle, and moments that made your heart sink, this book is a lovely read.
