Surface level gore, not even scary. What I got from it was that there is no peace or escape in the world. A lot of people actually live like that (minus the magician part) The ending was the main part of "there is no escape" The people from the circus made her feel so crazy and she thought she had escaped them and that she was gonna live a happy life with her (murder) husband. But in the end she didn't win. Her husband was stabbed to death and she was all alone again The ending also gave me a really tokyo ghoul kinda vibe at the end ngl
