Very disappointing read. I have loved Melissa Gilberts other books, and figured I'd try this from my local library. Uninteresting, COVID filled, government propaganda and political. Not at all what I was expecting. I had to put it down and not finish it once I read she wasn't going to hug her son when he visited her home, per CDC guidelines. (Insert huge eye roll) Don't waste your time on this one.

I wanted to love this movie so much. I am a Beetlejuice super fan, and this movie was such a disappointment to watch. My kids and I can watch the original multiple times a year. I don't know if I'll ever watch this again. The plot was messy, too many new characters introduced for no real reason. It felt like I was watching a boring Netflix show, not Beetlejuice. I didn't love Michael Keaton in his role this time around, which is terrible to say, but true. Lydia was completely ruined as a character, she is not a whiny, scared traumatized individual, or at least I never thought she would be as she grew up. I hated what they did to Charles, it was just stupid not funny. Delia was the only "ok" character, and what happened to her at the end made no sense either. The musical parts were boring, song choices were odd. I could go on and on. Don't waste your money seeing this in theaters. I wasted 120$ on tickets and popcorn for my family of four to leave the theatre saying "what the hell did we just watch". Such a dissapointing experience altogether. Beetlejuice should have been left alone, I'm going to try and not let this second one ruin my love for the first.
