Overcoming pain, frustrations, and mental health issues can be very hard. Those who can let behind their problems in the past are great people capable of accomplishing the most rewarding things in life, if not necessarily financial success. Love and affection are valuable things than can help overcome any issue ahead of all of us.
Shawna Baca’s “Fear Less” is an excellent book. In these days of so-called “influencers” featuring people that accomplished nothing and are doing nothing but mediocre commercials of questionable value, Shawna’s book is a powerful journey that is really inspirational and moving not just for people suffering pain and mental health problems; it is for anybody with a heart and soul.
An autobiography about a woman overcoming panic attacks and agoraphobia, and mostly taking place around Los Angeles (and that is only the beginning), its appeal is universal and I hope that translations to other languages are going to be available because Shawna’s message is extremely important for anybody who is suffering either in a big or a small way, or even not suffering at all because it forces us to think about the choices we made and how we could overcome situations that can be out of our control.
We follow Shawna’s life from childhood to adulthood and we witness her pain that becomes our pain as well and see her progressively overcoming most of the frustrations that she had experienced throughout the years until achieving emotional stability that lead to a successful career in the media.
“Fear Less” provides a complete answer about her and how she managed to go from tragic and painful situation to accomplishments that she has to be proud of. We don’t have to have gone through her ordeal to appreciate her work, even though we are there with her and in the process, and we suffer as she does, and she turns out to be a very good friend and almost the sister or classmate that we never had.
The intention is obviously to help people overcome any obstacle that prevents them to be happy and love. Let’s hope a lot people find the same inspiration I have found myself.
