The first two sneak peaks or trailers gave a really bad impression but after watching it, it's actually a really good film. It's the movie that had me invested to the romance plot, which warning, it's the main plot. However, the couple is portrayed so earnest. The elemental jokes weren't bad except the infamous metal gate scene but it's brief so who cares. The biggest weakness was the break up scene because it really is unnecessary, but at least it lasts for a minute. Go watch it or some clips at least. 9.8/10.

Seriously, what's wrong with the people who gave it a 1 or 2 star rating? Of course they won't do actual hand drawn animation, that's expensive! Even the game devs admitted that they had to digitally colored the frames to realistically finish the game. Also what's wrong with a show being episodic? Because 1930s cartoon shorts are essentially that. Finally, a lot of these people judged way too early because we are now seeing more characters from the game. Why would you want to see a show that is essentially the game? Might as well play the game. The cuphead show is a good balance between original ideas while also implementing elements from the game. Sorry, it's that these low review scores are extremely nitpicky.
