our u3a group read this in german- a challenge, entitled heim suchung.
the story parralles that of my own family, who had-[and lost] a summer
house by the lake outside Berlin.nothing so grand though. ours fell to
the russian army in ww2.photos show happier times there.
don.t expect a schmalzy read in this well crafted novel.
