If you’re used to the original American Rick and Morty, the anime version is quite a shock. Bizarre almost distorted animation, unfamiliar voices, and unfamiliar story lines don’t seem to be on par with it’s American counterpart. This is my review after only the first episode. I always give series several episodes to give them a chance as some Shows have the ability to grow on you. Unfortunately this series has a very steep uphill battle compared to the genius of the original American Rick and Morty. *Edit After watching more episodes and reading more reviews I can only cement my original review of how terrible this version is. The only people who seem to like it are hardcore anime fans that claim the poor animation and lack of comedy or any form of entertainment are supposedly on purpose? I hope the Japanese fanbase appreciates this because I can guarantee anyone from the west sees this as complete garbage. I’m so disappointed that this version even exists, as it’s a huge failure in every aspect. Whoever created this please stop creating anything. You are a failure. You have failed. You have tarnished the name of Rick and Morty.
