This movie was a joy to watch. Such a good story, great cast, great soundtrack. You don’t have to be a birder to enjoy it. Don’t skip the credits at the end. The kaleidoscope of birds flashing across the screen, precisely in time to the music, is the perfect ending. Rotten Tomatoes - you just proved to me, not for the first time, that you’re to be taken with a tiny grain of salt.

It’s a fact that Lucky Hank couldn’t be more different from Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul, but that doesn’t mean it’s not good. It’s smart, funny (sometimes), sad (at other times), well written and well acted. With so much to choose from these days, I’m pretty picky about what I spend my time watching. This show is worth it.

It’s a shame that this series only lasted two seasons. It was one of the best. Good writing, good actors, mysterious, addictive. I think it’s time to watch it again.
