The series bears little resemblance to the original. Sometimes I have no idea what is going on. The Foundation scientists are fighting with invaders, destroying spaceships, with a lot of violence. In the original the Foundation was able to get through the Seldon crisis without violence. Salvor was suppose to solve the crisis politically buy helping the barbarian kingdoms with technology. That story line would have been a good lesson for today that war could be avoided with intelligent maneuvering. I know the writers are trying to update the series but non-violence against violence would have been a good message also. The Empire story is a pretty good side story.
