So far (through ep 4), the series has been quite good. It is one of my favorite books, and I hesitate to comment until the last episode. I hope the show presents a little more backstory to Sunja's parents. The main reason I am commenting is that the subtitles are HORRIFIC! Some of them just flash for a second, totally unreadable. If you aren't already familiar with the story, you will miss key dialogue! And sometimes the subtitles are totally absent! I am very comfortable with subtitles,as I have watched many Kdramas (which are generally excellent). But these are wretched. I expected more from such a big-budget production. Youn Yuh-jung, Lee Min-Ho, and Kim Min-ha as older Sun-ja, Koh Hansu and younger Sun-ja are fabulous.
