Audiard’s filmography may be the strongest of any director living today, and this is his masterpiece. A film that stays with you. Somehow getting better with each watch. Also check out Rust & Bone, and A Prophet, then his English speaking film the Sister’s Brothers. Breathtaking camera work, pacing, and performances all guided by a true powerhouse.

Beautifully filmed, great story, and A+ acting all around. Seems like most 1 star reviewers wanted some sort of conventional horror plot spoon fed to them. Once I heard Alex Garland was directing I knew it would be weird in all the right ways. He’s a powerhouse.
