I have been a huge Halo fan since 2001, and have played, and watched everything that has been released, just haven't read all of the books yet, there are so many now. I was super excited when this was finally getting released, and while I thoroughly enjoyed the first episode, and intend to keep watching, I just can't give it more than a 3. I am intrigued by the new storyline, the acting was very good, and I was very impressed by the costume work, I am a little underwhelmed by the CG work and action. At times, both were very good, and I was impressed, other times it just looked very unconvincing. This could have been a result of the various delays COVID caused, so I hope it can be improved upon. I leave this review in hopes that it and others (have seen people say similar things) are seen so they can bring the show to its full potential. If they can, this is easily a 4 or 5 for me. To sum up, everything actually live action (costumes, acting, effects) I thought were great, however, the integration of CG at times seemed less than impressive. Looking forward to more!
