I was quite young when I saw the first two movies In the theater but I distinctly remember it being notably better than the first one. Simply more going on, funnier and a better pace. (and who doesn't like a road trip movie) I rarely see it on late night TV but about every ten years I see it flipping channels and give it another go for memory sake. It's not a classic by any means but I have a soft spot for it. I look at movies in the grand scheme of things and I think three stars is fair. Frankly I felt the first movie was carried by the soundtrack more than anything. It was classical music scores with baseball to help show the grace of a bunch of foul idiots trying to come together as a team and it just pulled off making it somewhat inspirational. On the other hand, years later I saw The Bad News Bears Go to Japan on VHS and it was flat-out horrible. Breaking Training was the best of the three.
