FMAB is definately a great anime. Its whole thrilling plot, and specially the love and affection between the Elric brothers is worth watching.
Although it is not very exciting at times specially in the beginning. You won't feel much urge to watch the next episode. However as the story progresses and interest is developed the urge to watch next episodes increases. The last 10-13 episodes are really interesting.
Overall, you may give it a try, you won't regret it.
