Staggeringly dull and incomprehensible. Yes, some great special effects but what is the point if there is no story, no connection with the characters and no resolution? I'd also say it was let down by the strange mix of Mandarin and English dialogue, occasional puerile attempts at humour and self-reverence. Am simply amazed it won so many Oscars!
