Madeline Chainey

I did not like this film one bit. Miss Honey, is in fact a different race than portrayed in the 1996 Matilda. Now, it's understandable that this is a remake, that it's a musical... However, if you look at the description and artwork in the book, you can clearly tell that MIss Honey is fair, she doesn't have dreadlocks, curly hair or anything like that. It's just plain straight hair that looks to be tied up in a ponytail. She is definitely NOT a dark skinned person or anything like that. I noticed that Matilda's backstory is completely gone and it doesn't do a good job of explaining how she got her powers in the first place. Shame. A big disapppointment all round
