I Highly recommend this book! If you are first generation American, Spanish being your first language, and a member of the armed forces THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU. Chicanos in Vietnam is a great portal to travel back in time and see the war through Mexican-American eyes. Each chapter is a different service member and their experience from being drafted/volunteer to being in combat/ overseas and their sad unwelcome back to the states. this book has a lot of Spanish slag which makes one really get into the stories and feel que cabron estaba la cosa. This is a very Eye opening book for anyone interested in Vietnam war , Hispanic history, or history in general.
