Disappointing and predictable...
i'm a huge fan of the Coen Bros and have pretty much enjoyed all of their previous films. Having said that, their latest film was a huge disappointment to me. I found it utterly predictable and the pace was slow to the point of of boredom. I can appreciate the film's cinematography and the settings and characters were impeccable. But even if one is into that kind of slow paced period piece type thing, 'The Ballad of Buster Scruggs' was a blatant rip off of Akira Kurazawa's film 'Dreams', and the Coen Bros just failed to pull it off as successfully as Kurazawa did.
