I was very anxious to see this movie, since I read and thoroughly enjoyed the book on which it is based, as well as other books relating to the atomic bomb project. Unfortunately, the film has so many flashbacks, flash forwards, sideways, etc. that I was dizzy by the end of the film. Although cinematically entertaining, it is a mess in storytelling. One thing the film makes clear very accurately is the tragic extent to which Oppenheimer was used as a convenient tool by the military, and promptly dumped into the trash heap of history as soon as the bomb was successfully tested.
