I just finished reading Jennette McCurdy's book. It's beyond heart breaking, painful, witty, brave, wise, brilliant and compassionate. I'm so mad and disgusted at the show business being full of predators and at stage parents. There are so many more victims.
I'm so, so glad that she rebuilt herself.
She's a properly good writer. She's got a natural talent for it, and she's worked into perfecting her craft. She's brilliant and funny. Another thing her mother was envious of, and tried to discourage because it was something that made Jennette happy. It made her feel heard and self-empowered. The oposite acting did to her since the very beginning (a terrified child, raised to accomodate her mother's tantrums and every sort of life threatening abuse coming from her mother and others).
