Worth watching more than once. Loved it.

Nope is a trailblazer to a new genre is the sense I get after watching the movie once. It’s unique, interesting, fun, inventive, funny, suspenseful, and in many ways, touching and got my feels at the end. I’ve been a fan of Jordan Peele for years and was thrilled to learn he was at it again. It certainly doesn’t give him a pass to just go out and make a mediocre film but I don’t think that’s what this was. I think this is a brilliant - and brave - start of an entirely new type of film. It will not be for everyone, because I think many people are used to the spoon fed, obvious plot. Not the case here - you need to be open to a new experience. It was actually fun picking up on subtle nuances - sometimes deeply meaningful - laced throughout the film. Masterful choices for music & outstanding cinematography helped deliver a unexpectedly fun, adventurous film. I truly hope those inspired to follow do not forget how groundbreaking this really is. I hope they remember to credit the mind of Jordan Peele. I’m honored to have it happen in my lifetime.

Slight but still apparent undertones of BB minus the callousness and narcissism of Walter White... Replaced by an enjoyable main character, Franklin, who is a smart, sweet, handsome, steady, believable young man. Snowfall has other interesting characters that are endearing through great acting in true-to-the-era form. Love Lucia and her distinctly different relationships with Pedro and with Gustavo. Teddy is brilliant - I hope he survives the series and comes out ahead. So if you are looking for a series to enjoy post-apocalypse (end of BB), this is a superb replacement. Clever and creative writing will not disappoint. Have fun.
