As someone who whacthed the show this movie is really bad The casting choices are pretty bad matthew broderick was not the right choice for gadget Rupert everett as doctor claw is worst cause they show his face way too much on the show you never saw his face Michelle Trachtenberg is not a good penny gadget like how am I supposed to believe that this is penny or brain who is nothing like his show counterpart The Writing is very very bad The practical effects are good I will admit that but the rest is cgi and it's really bad The editing is awful I can barely see the movie although I will admit that it's cool hearing the theme in a movie in which this is the only piece of inspector gadget media that has the original theme in it aside from the show

Alright so this movie is mid It's much better than the first one The casting choices are better Gadget is now played by French stewart aka harry Solomon which is a much better choice than matthew broderick Dr claw is no longer played by rupert everett and you don't see as much of his face this time but you do sometimes see parts of his face but atleast they try this time Penny is played a totally different actress D.l hughly is still in this movie and he's the only cast member from this movie that's from the first one The effects are worst in this movie than in the first movie in the first one they did mix some practical effects with the cgi Here everything is cgi like the nostalgia critic said and it's worst here cause the budget is much lower than for the first movie Ok is it as bad as the first one? No If you have kids or planning on having kids and they want to watch it go ahead but for me this comes off as an apology for the first one not to mention the editing has really improved I can see the movie much better now I heard something about a 3rd movie and I was wanting for there to be a 3rd movie but now I'm older I'm glad they didn't disney if your still wanting to make it then go go gadget don't bother
