Despite the fact that I enjoy both Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves, the two main characters they play aren't particularly witty or even likable as much as oh-so-highfalutin' with a back and forth that sounds pretentious and phony. I only managed to watch a quarter of it before I gave up. Don't rent this movie like I did! FYI.

As a fan of George Clooney, I'm surprised he didn't have someone with critical thinking to review his screenplay. For example, if you fall in the water in the North Pole, manage to get out of the water and put on your nice warm coat, you're still gonna die from hypothermia. Similarly, with only two people and a baby on the way as the last survivors of our species, procreation will be between brothers & sisters and parents & children. If we think Earthlings have problems now, all that inbreeding isn't going to produce "the best people". While the sci-fi scenery was good, this film is as uplifting as the North Pole in a blizzard.
