Looking at these 1 star reviews:
Are you worried about losing your job to technology or to a younger generation?
If you're not, that's probably why you don't get this movie.
Or if you know nothing about film culture and its history... that also may be why you also don't get this movie.
Given that the movie is about the historical film industry in the US in the 1920's, it's tough to swallow (yep I meant that) reviewers "feelings" of disgust, because they probably knew nothing about 1920's film culture when they bought their movie ticket. Hollywood was (and still is) a ROUGH place y'all!
Read up on some literature or listen to podcasts (my preferred method) ... for example, LALALand has an insane story that is very much worth hearing.
And Margo Robbie dancing in a shorts/dress situation at a wild party is the absolute least of our worries....
