I thought music and comedy were the only things this movie could offer, but Greta Gerwig had other plans. It's not the rib-tickling jokes that impressed me. It's not the foot-tapping music that impressed me. The movie serves its purpose by showing the life of stereotypical Barbie, but it also shows the ideas of feminism, humanitarianism, and how people are brainwashed with the wrong ideas. It was the philosophy of life they showed that made an impact. No wonder Ryan Gosling said it's the best story he's heard. The first half of the story felt kid-ish, but the second part was wonderful! Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Simu Liu-everyone did a great job. If you missed LaLa Land in theaters, this is your chance. 7.5/10.
